How long does a PDO thread lift last?

A groundbreaking treatment for your skin and top-of-the-list for anti-ageing results, a PDO thread lift is one of our signature procedures here at our Marylebone aesthetic clinic. To find out how they work, how long they last and why you should consider treatment, take a look at today’s blog post.

What is a PDO thread lift?

It’s a treatment that can give you the results of a facelift without the need to go under the knife – so there’s no surgery involved, and none of the associated risks and downtime.

How does a PDO thread lift work?

The treatment aims to ‘lift the skin from within’ using rejuvenation threads carefully placed under the skin to reposition it. As the name suggests, these also help to refresh the appearance as they trigger the production of collagen and elastin, two key skin proteins that are responsible for our skin’s suppleness and smoothness.

Does a PDO thread lift hurt?

No, as we use a local anaesthetic to dull the sensation in the area. You may be aware of some tugging and pulling, however, as the threads are gently inserted.

How long do results last?

Using the state-of-the-art 720 Dimension Threads, most of our clients experience results for around 2 years, which outperforms other types. After about 6 months, we’ll review your results and add additional threads – for free – if needed.

What can I expect from my treatment?

PDO thread lift treatment gives a whole host of anti-ageing benefits without the risks and complications of surgery. Not only do they lift and tighten the skin, but they can contour and add definition; rejuvenate through increased skin protein production; soften wrinkles and fine lines; and target areas including the brows, cheeks and jowls.

Why do you use 720 Dimension threads?

We find this treatment gives an immediate improvement to the appearance, and even better results over time owing to their higher strength and quality. It’s one of the leading solutions for a non-surgical facelift.

What happens with PDO thread lift treatment?

We’ll first arrange a consultation at our Mayfair aesthetics clinic. We’ll assess your skin, get to know your concerns and answer your questions. Then, we’ll arrange your treatment. After a local anaesthetic is applied, we’ll calculate where to insert the threads and which areas you want to target. Then, we’ll use a sharp-tipped needle called a cannula to guide the threads to the right positions.
