Dermal fillers consist mainly of hyaluronic acid, a water-binding substance that occurs naturally in the body. Their gel-like consistency means they stay where they are placed.

Dynamic lines are folds in the skin which deepen with age. The filler adds volume where the skin is folded or creased, smoothing out the area being treated. Hyaluronic acid holds 10,000 times its weight in water, and deeply hydrates the skin from within.

The needles used to inject dermal filler are very fine, but if you are concerned about discomfort we can apply topical numbing cream to the skin before beginning treatment.

One of the benefits of dermal fillers is that results are immediately visible. You might experience some bruising, redness or swelling at the injection sites, but this should fade within a few days, leaving you with a smoother, more youthful appearance.

About Dr Nish Shah
