Anti-wrinkle injections are made of Botulinum toxin (botox), which blocks the signals that cause the targeted muscles to contract. Our Aesthetic expert, Dr Nish Shah, carefully selects the injection sites according to your needs, ensuring the muscles which are causing the development of lines and wrinkles are ‘frozen’, which in turn stops the deepening of existing lines and restores a smoother complexion.

Wrinkles develop differently in each person, but the most common treatment areas are:
- The forehead/brow (horizonal forehead lines)
- Between the eyes (frown lines, also known as ‘11s’)
- The sides of the eyes (crows’ feet)

Botox is effective for 3-4 months in most clients, requiring touch-up treatments to maintain results. Over time, Botox’s weakening effect on the targeted muscle ‘retrains’ it to contract with less force, meaning that treatment results can last for 6 months instead of 3-4.

We use ultra-thin needles so there is no pain associated with the treatment, but if you are concerned about discomfort, we can apply a topical numbing cream to the skin before beginning treatment.

Results take a few days to show, and will continue to improve for around 14 days, at which point optimal results will be visible.

You should not have anti-wrinkle treatment if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- The injection site is infected
- You are allergic to Botox
- You have a neuromuscular disorder such as myasthenia gravis

About Dr Nish Shah
Dr Nish is a medically trained aesthetics practitioner with extensive training in non-surgical treatments including dermal fillers, Intraline PDO threads (lifting and rejuvenation), and anti-wrinkle injections.
Following his BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences from St George’s University of London, Dr Nish completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at All Saints University School of Medicine, before enjoying a wealth of clinical experience in the US, notably in Chicago.
